Himachal BJP, which is going through heavy factionalism, will get a new president next month. Party sources said that seven people have sent their names among the candidates for the post, which also includes a woman leader. The tenure of current BJP President Rajiv Bindal is ending this month. After which the party is going to elect a new president. However, the high command will decide who will be the next president of the party. Because in BJP after 2014, only the party high command i.e. Modi-Shah decides which leader is to be crowned on which post. Himachal BJP is currently facing heavy factionalism. BJP’s boat sank due to factionalism in the 2022 elections. The party also had to face defeat in the elections held after that. The senior leaders of the party are very angry with the high command, the biggest reason for this is the inclusion of rebel Congress leaders in the BJP. The BJP high command includes Congress leaders in the BJP without consulting local leaders. In the recently held by-elections, BJP had ignored the local leaders by giving tickets to the rebel leaders from Congress, due to which they turned against the candidates in the elections and the party had to face defeat. At present there are four factions in BJP which are trying to destroy each other. In such a situation, the biggest challenge before the new president of the party will be to unite the party so that a good environment can be created by 2027. The party has sent the names of seven leaders of Himachal to the high command, from whom the president is certain to be selected. These include Indu Goswami, Satpal, Sati, Vipin Parmar, Sikandar Kumar, Bikram Jamwal.
