Adopting the formula of zero tolerance on corruption, the Sukhvindra Singh Sukhu government of Himachal Pradesh suspended ten officers of Jal Shakti Department with immediate effect in the Theog water distribution scam. The suspended officers include two executive engineers, three assistant engineers and five junior engineers. The preliminary investigation conducted by the government in this alleged scam has revealed irregularities on the part of these officers. After which the government took action and suspended all the responsible officers. This alleged scam of water supply under Theog sub-division of Shimla district came to light a few days ago. After which the government got the matter investigated through a committee formed under the leadership of a top officer of the department, after which after the involvement of these officers came to light, all of them have been suspended. Confirming the matter, the Chief Secretary of Jal Shakti Department said that no compromise will be made in the matter of corruption. He said that the investigation of the matter is going on
