Sunder Chauhan
The old chemistry of two stalwart leaders of Bihar politics has once again created a political stir. Where RJD and I.N.D.I.A. Bloc leader Lalu Prasad Yadav invited the Chief Minister and JDU leader Nitish Kumar to come together again, while Nitish also laughed it off instead of directly denying it. After this, a period of speculation began which aroused the ears of all factions of politics from Patna to Delhi. Nitish Kumar is the only leader in contemporary politics who has remained in power in Bihar by changing sides four times in the last decade. Not only this, he also remains relevant. That is why Lalu Prasad once again said that his doors are open for Nitish Kumar. The big thing is that no one seems to be in a position to deny this possibility with any authenticity. Internal equation
The speculations regarding Nitish are also being strengthened by the current internal equations of the NDA camp in Bihar. Just a few days ago, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Vijay Kumar Sinha created a sensation by saying that the true tribute to Atal ji would be to form a government with full majority of BJP in Bihar. Although he soon distanced himself from this statement, by then the damage had been done. This perception is already there that BJP wants to end the indispensability of JDU and Nitish Kumar in Bihar politics as soon as possible. In the same environment, news of alleged neglect during Nitish Kumar’s visit to Delhi last week also came. It was said that in Delhi, Nitish Kumar wanted to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda, but no one gave him time.
However, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav does not seem to be in favor of such a possibility. His focus is on the assembly elections to be held at the end of the year. The possibility of Nitish Kumar’s arrival at this time can create confusion and confusion among the workers and voters.
It is also worth noting that BJP does not have majority in the central government. Nitish Kumar’s support is also important for him. However, the upcoming Lok Sabha elections are in 2029. Therefore, even Nitish Kumar would hardly want to choose the option of disturbing the equation of central power from now on.
